Modern Day Slavery

Back in the day, being a slave meant somebody else owned you.

• They controlled when you eat

• They controlled when you work

• They controlled when you sleep

And I can’t lie…

I don’t think modern day life is too much different than that.

If you work a normal job, you plan your lunch break around that. Same with breakfast, if you eat it at all. You work set hours.

Or at least within the same general timeframe.

You go to sleep around the same time everyday cause you gotta get up for work.

Your work life pretty much runs your whole life. And to make it all worse… most people hate their jobs. With a burning passion.

And so that had me thinking…

Is this just modern day slavery?

I mean, we ain’t really free… are we? How can we be free when we don’t control our own time? Or what we do with that time?

That don’t sound like freedom to me.

But there’s two sides to that coin.

A slave couldn’t runaway. If they tried to and they got caught, the results would be… disastrous.

And while there may be a similar aspect to that in your life today…

Meaning if you stop showing up to work, you’ll be fired and won’t be able to pay the bills…

It’s not exactly the same. Cause unlike a slave, the one thing you can do is plan an escape route. And you can use massa’s money to pay for it.

That 9-5 ain’t so bad after all huh?

• You get a consistent paycheck

• You know the bills is gone be paid

• You got food on the table and clothes on yo back

And you got money to pay for:

• Internet

• A computer

• A phone with a high quality ass camera

Truth be told that’s your escape route right there.

Creating content online.

If you can do that consistently over a long period of time… you can change your life. And build a life where you control when you:

• Eat

• Work

• Sleep

So even though working a normal job might seem like modern day slavery…

You ain’t a slave.

Unless you choose to be.

And that part is all about your mindset. If you think like a slave, you’ll feel and act like one. But if you think like a boss, then you’ll be the massa of your own life.
