Let’s Get This Work In

I got up at like 5:26 today.  The goal was to get up at 5am with no snoozing.

I don’t remember snoozing but I must have.

Either way it’s 5:47am now (when I’m writing this), and I’m still up. So I’ll count that as a win.

I’m mad I got up, but I’m glad I got up.

I’m tired. But I would have been tired when I got up regardless of what time it was.

I’m not looking forward to this workout.

Gotta run on the treadmill then do deadlift and squats.

My mind is telling me it’s gone be a terrible experience and I wont make it through it

My mind is telling me not to do it cause I might quit.

The old me would have listened, and maybe did a light workout to compensate.

The new me is saying fuck all that.

Let’s get that work in.

If you wanna be able to do hard things even when your brain is trying to get you not to…

The solution is simple.

All you gotta do is notice the limiting thoughts as they happen…

Then turn them into positive, empowering thoughts.

So instead of me continuing to think “I shouldn’t start this workout cause ima quit anyway”, I started thinking…

“I need to do this workout because that’s one of the things that will get me where I wanna be in the future.”

And guess what?

I believed that thought.

So once I finish writing this…

I’m doing that workout.

And…
