Can Money Buy Happiness?

I don’t care about being rich.

At least not just for the sake of it.

I do want money.

But no so I can blow it all on dumb shit.

I want money cause I want control of my time.

I wanna be able to take my son to IHOP on a random Friday during the day without having to take PTO.

I wanna be able to take a good ass nap from 1-3pm just for the fuck of it, and not have to worry about getting back to my computer so I don’t miss a important email that shoulda been addressed 2 minutes ago.

That’s what I want.

Freedom.

And in the world we live in, money buy freedom.

Honestly I would even argue money can buy happiness.

Not cause the money itself make you happy.

But cause when you ain’t gotta worry bout money, you can do all the stuff that make you happy and not be on a time limit.

Even if those things are free.

Like spending time with your kids or your significant other.

When you ain’t gotta worry bout money, you can have more time to do all that.

But when you do gotta worry bout money, your free time is limited.

And that’s fucked up.

And I ain’t finna live my whole life like that.

Not on my watch.

As long as God keep this blood pumping in my body, I’m getting out here and I’m getting it.

And I advise you to do the same.
